The Fish Out Of Water Project does not exist in
isolation --by itself, it would be absolutely
meaningless and unimportant.  Its sole purpose is
not to convey Truth, but to build connections
between the various expressions of Truth that we
as 21st century God-seekers will recognize and
know how to travel.  As such, nothing you might
read in FOOW is meant to stand alone, but only in
fellowship with the realizations that came before it,
ideas that will come from its connections, and the
visions of Fellow Travelers we meet on the way

This is a wonderful site for those specifically
interested in Sufism, but seems to stress the
universality of this path --the "Food For
Thought" on the homepage includes nuggets by St. Teresa of Avila,
Sri Ramakrishna, Lao-Tzu and the Buddha-- so it wanted to be here.

Meister Eckhart and -- is that St. Paul chatting
it up with Emerson? (We can assume Brother Lawrence is in the
