grass roots cooperative

an idea whose time is coming.....
Greetings!

The purpose of this page is to direct you toward the home page for either of the two distinct
facets of the Grass Roots Cooperative project:

Grass Roots Cooperative Warehouse
This part of the site is devoted to a fledgling concept that exists in the minds
of just a few people at this time, but one that many people have talked about
in recent years: a new cooperative natural foods distributor serving the many
co-ops, independent markets and buying clubs of the Northeast. I call this the
"macro" level of the GRC project: it is mostly a discussion of what could evolve
over time, not something than can or should be built overnight.

If you want to find out what these crazy folks are up to, learn about how you
can support or even join them, or just lend your voice to the ongoing
discussion of where this project can go in the
very long run, this is the link to
get you there.

Grass Roots Transportation
If you live in the Philadelphia tri-state region (let's say, within the box you'd
create by drawing a line from Allentown to Toms River, NJ to Cape May to
Dover, Del. and back to Allentown), and you are either:
  • a member of a natural foods buying club, or interested in starting one
  • a member-employee of a natural foods co-op
  • an owner or manager of an independent natural foods market
  • an owner or manager of a restaurant, cafe, coffee house etc, who wants
to buy organic and natural foods in limited quantities

...we want to serve your ordering and distribution needs NOW!

That's right: if you want access to the offerings of the major organic and
natural foods distributors, but find it difficult or impossible to deal with them
on your schedule and budget, let Grass Roots Transportation handle it for you.

And of course, the navigation bar is on every page, so feel free to bounce back and forth between
the macro- and micro-level projects.

I hope you will find this information intriguing, thought-provoking, perhaps even exciting!
Please drop us a note to let us know what you think, regardless of your level of interest.  We
intend to learn from ALL kinds of feedback, positive or negative.  Thanks for sharing a little bit
of your time, and may you feel abundantly blessed today!

Namaste,
Jay Reville, aka Hermit Crab
